If you’re thinking about making the switch to geothermal heating and cooling, be sure to visit the DSIRE website. DSIRE is a comprehensive searchable database of incentives and policies for businesses and homeowners who choose renewable technologies and energy efficient products.

For example, the State of Maryland currently has programs for residential and commercial properties that are upgrading to geothermal heating and cooling. These include renewable energy credits, clean energy grants, and incentives.

DSIRE is a partnership between the North Caroline Clean Energy Technology Center at NC State University and the US Department of Energy’s Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy.
